JUNE EXHIBITION PREPERATION

Excavated Fill: Using the excavator from Burns Construction, Jim McGraw has dug sand down among the pines. Yesterday and today, trucks have been hauling sand to fill areas around the Public Toilet Building and the Horse Building. Bob Bixby brought his old Mack truck and was helped by John Parsons. Ken Tupper has been spreading and compacting the sand with a Burns dozer. Today, Professor Batson inspected the concrete walls for the Horse Barn and complemented the work. Overall, the place is looking super.

Bleachers: Dave Baker and Wayne Hill have been putting the final touches on the bleachers. Dave recently hosted a short visit from our insurance company.

Barn Painting: Charlie and Helen Alton had already begun repairs to the barn. But rather than wait for help with the painting from Corrections, Chuck Goolden and Myron Langford have led an effort to get the walls scraped and primed so they will nice at the Exhibition. The barn, small granary, and chicken house already look better.
