Hello my name is Doris Wainwright, I live in Russell N.Y. My husband Michael K. Wainwright has a home repair and painting business for the past 50 years or so. During this time he has acquired an extensive customer list. One such, long time client is Janet Favro of Canton. Through out the decades that Michael and Janet were associated they became close friends. As such, Janet has gifted Michael with an antique cart that is approx. 200 years old. It was Janet's grandfather's who once sold it to a Dr to be used for is daily rounds. Once the Dr. had finished with the cart Janet's Grandfather was given the cart back. Janet has kept the cart safely stored in one of her out buildings over the years. Janet has since had to be moved to a long term care center in Lake Placid to live out the rest of her days close to her remaining family members. The whole point of me telling all of this information to you is to see if the museum would be interested in receiving the cart as part of your historical display of artifacts from the past. This cart deserves to be viewed and appreciated by the public. As well as the fact that we do not have any suitable storage place for such an item. My husband would like to donate the cart to the museum so that it can be preserved and not spend a North Country winter sitting in our yard. With the cart we'd like to include a photo Of Janet and the cart on the day that it was moved to my yard. It would please us if accolades would go to Janet with the display of the cart. Please contact myself or Michael cell phone numbers are as follows. Me (315)276-6054, Michael (315) 323-8139.
Thank You
Hoping to hear from you soon.
