We found some interesting sights, including the rusting equipment sitting idle for years. We viewed two steam boilers made by A.B. Farquhar of York PA. One in Chena Hot Springs, AK and the other at Chicken, AK. We were astonished that this equipment came from so far away, but steam boilers were used to heat up the ground during mining operations.
