      Our museum’s buildings, exhibits, and collections tell the story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled the North Country. As part of our Mission to preserve the power systems, equipment and related knowledge and skills that were an integral part of the development of the North Country, our museum continues to acquire additional exhibits and donations to add more features to our Madrid, New York museum location.

St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum Events

Beginning May 2024, the museum will host Open Houses from 10am until 2pm every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month through October. If you are interested in a visit outside of these time you can email slpeminfo@gmail.com and get set up with a time to visit.

June 8-9th, 2024, SLPEM Spring Exhibition Show and Tractor Show

Come spend the day at the Museum there is fun for all! Take a walk through history by exploring all the different buildings on our beautiful campus. Participate in our Ladies Skillet Toss or the Kids Pedal Tractor Pulls and Races! Check out vendors and different exhibitors!

July 27-28th, 2024, Fort Tribute Civil War Reenactment Weekend.

Come and spend the weekend learning about the history of the Civil War. Reenactors come from all over dressed in gear and ready to battle. If you’ve never experienced this weekend, be sure to mark it on your calendars this year. You don’t want to miss it.

August 31-September 1st 2024, SLPEM Old Fashioned Harvest Days Exhibition and Tractor Show

Come spend your Labor Day weekend at the museum. Take a walk through our historic buildings, participate in our Ladies Skillet Toss or the Kids Pedal Tractor Races and Pulls!

September 21st 2024, SLC Chamber of Commerce Craft, Food, and Wine Open Air Market.

Come spend the day shopping through various vendors and enjoying the fresh air!

October 5th, 2024, Kids Pumpkin Patch Party.

Bring the kids to a day at the museum where they can paint a pumpkin, enjoy a kiddie corn maze, take ride on the wagon around the museum and so much more!
