October 2019 construction began for the Wood Shop. As soon as the build was dried in, the relocation of the Stowe family’s ca. 1900 wood working machines, lineshafts, pulleys and belts got underway.

Our Exhibits & Attractions
Our museum’s buildings, exhibits, and collections tell the story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled the North Country. As part of our Mission to preserve the power systems, equipment and related knowledge and skills that were an integral part of the development of the North Country, our museum continues to acquire additional exhibits and donations to add more features to our Madrid, New York museum location.
